) The Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital Auxiliary was organized in November of 1958 and was originally known as the Ward Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Over the years, the auxilary raised money by serving dinners, having bake sales, coffees, dances, magazine sales, candy sales, card parties, Mother and Daughter banquets and talent shows. |

) Sanford Clinic Sheldon began in 1988 and was previously owned and operated by Dr. Ron Zoutendam. In July 1992, Sanford Clinic Sheldon opened a satellite clinic in Sanborn, IA. The Sanford Clinic in Sheldon opened a new building in 1996 which is attached to the hospital. In 1997, the third clinic was opened which is located in Hartley, IA.
