5thGEN AG LLC Purchases Building in Primghar

Primghar, Iowa, March 19, 2020 – Brett and Sheila Peelen are the new owners of the former O’Brien County Ag Supply building located at 320 South Hayes in Primghar. The building will be used to house 5thGen Ag, a business that Brett purchased in March of 2019 from Ag Partners of Calumet. 5thGen Ag sells Ag Leader, Precision Planting and several smaller lines of precision ag products and covers sixteen plus counties in Northwest Iowa with sales and service. Brett plans to make office, inventory and eventual shop space in this building and is happy it will be more centrally located for his business territory. O’Brien County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) is pleased to support this building purchase through an O’Brien County IRP Revolving Loan Fund Loan.

The Revolving Loan Fund is used to attract, retain or expand business or industry.  Revolving loan funds may be used for the following:  Land purchases, Building purchases, Building Construction, Machinery purchases, Equipment purchases and any other uses deemed appropriate by the RLF Committee.

O’Brien County Economic Development Executive Director, Kiana Johnson, commented, “OCEDC and the Revolving Loan Fund Committee are thrilled to be a partner in this building acquisition.
