The contest is sponsored by Northwest Iowa Developers and Iowa's West Coast. Should JAK Sprat win, owner Jodi Krikke says the prize money will go toward a new storage system for her new business location with any extra funds put into the new website.

The top three applicants with the most votes will advance to the pitch-off, along with 2 entries chosen by a selection committee of economic developers from Northwest Iowa Developers (NWID) and Iowa's West Coast. O'Brien County is a member of NWID. A Facebook account is required to verify votes and voters are allowed one vote per day.
