Equipment Operator for O'Brien County

Full-time equipment operator at the O'Brien County Maintenance Shop in Primghar, Iowa.

Successful candidate will operate heavy construction equipment and perform skilled tasks as directed by the county engineer, maintenance superintendent, or road foreman for a wide range of year-round road maintenance and construction activities. Experience and/or training in the operation of motorgrader, truck with snow removal and shouldering attachments, rubber-tired loader, dozer, gravel truck with gravel pup, and other related construction equipment is desired.

Candidate must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement. Pre-employment drug testing and pre-employment physical are requirementsof this position along with random drug and alcohol testing consistent with county policy and federal law. Within six (6) months, the successful candidate is required to reside within 30 minutes driving time during normal conditions from the assigned location.
