Dream Big Grow Here Applicants Now Competing for Votes


The Northwest Iowa Regional "Dream Big Grow Here" Contest, sponsored by Northwest Iowa Developers and Iowa's West Coast, has moved from the entry period into the voting phase. This contest is for entrepreneurs who have dreams of starting or expanding their business. The business must be located in O'Brien, Osceola, Sioux, Cherokee, Lyon, Plymouth, Monono, or Woodbury counties. To be eligible, a business must also be for-profit, have fewer than five full time employees and have been operating for three years or less. The pitch-off will be held November 15th at a location yet to be determined with the winner receiving $7,000 in prize money.

Voting will continue until Friday, October 19th. There are 14 entries, with one being located in O'Brien County.  Check out all the ideas at https://www.dreambiggrowhere.com/Vote.aspx.

The top three applicants with the most votes will advance to the pitch-off, along with 2 entries chosen by a selection committee of economic developers from Northwest Iowa Developers (NWID) and Iowa's West Coast. O'Brien County is a member of NWID.

A Facebook account is required to verify votes and voters are allowed one vote per day.
